Marvin is a renowned Kenyan gem cutter, and founder of Amor Gems, with over 20 years of experience. He has faceted gemstones for several top jewelry designers and companies in the US, Europe, Australia, Asia and East Africa. He cuts gems in many styles; brilliants, step and mixed cuts in both free form and calibrated sizes. His artistic ability and passion for precision in lapidary has fascinated many in the industry. His excellent skill has enabled Amor Gems to innovate and expand into numerous markets and achieve an international recognition.
Marvin sources for the best gems that Africa has to offer; Ethiopia to Mozambique; he travels to the deepest of places in Kenya to source for finest rough gemstones.
Away from the studio, Marvin is involved with other jewelers, designers, and cutters in uplifting and empowering mining communities. This includes, teaching basic Gemology, value addition, and sorting rough.
